Summary: Phenomenal read, sense of humor
Comment: I took the 63 today, and passed. Robert Walker has a sense of humor that can be distracting at times, but this is some really dense material to read. He made it interesting.
I noticed a few questions on the test that he never covered, but the pass margin is 70%, so you should have no trouble passing having read his book. I studied for about 20 hours, and have no prior finance experience.
This book is very highly recommended, and if you can score 75%-80% on his practice tests, you're going to be able to pass the actual test. Three tests included in the book, lots of help.
Highly recommended, I'm going to buy the 7 book.

Summary: End of Chapter ?'s Will Help You Pass Your Test
Comment: Fortunately, I passed my Series 63 test on my last try, which could have resulted in a job loss for me. Besides using the Kaplan Series 63 test, drill practice exercises and audio disk, I used Robert Walker's Pass the 63 test. The questions are actually harder in his book and more comparable to the actual NASD test than the actual Kaplan book. I didn't read everything in the book because it was wordy. However, the questions did help me a great deal as an additional study aid. Who knows maybe if I didn't buy the book and studied the questions, I might have failed the test. The book guarantees you to pass and I did.

Comment: I used this book in conjuction with Walker's Pass the 65 to take the Series 66. I scored an 80 percent so was extremely pleased. I would say that if you are taking the 66, Walker's "Pass the 65" should suffice. The "Pass the 63" covered the same basic material. Walker's method of teaching helps you remember the facts during the exam. I used Securities Institute of America, Inc "Series 65" when I took my 65 the first time around and did not pass. I would definitely go with Walker's books.

Comment: This book condensed all the info and did make it easier to understand, but I took the test and it is much more in depth than the book. I would say it covers about 60% of what's on the real test. You need a supplement to get more detailed info on new rules. Save your money and get something else.

Summary: book barely gets passing grade
Comment: I wish I could recommend this book because it is easy to read and made studying fun, but unfortunately most of the exam questions were not covered in this book. I took the test yesterday and passed with a 70%, the bare minimum.
Approximately 40% of the questions were covered in this book and on the remaining 60% I had to guess. Since I could narrow most guesses down to 2 possibilities, I was able to squeeze out a 70% and pass.
Maybe there's something out there that will better prepare you..don't know. If you do get this book I would definitely use a supplemental study resource. By itself, it isn't enough unless you're a good guesser or lucky like I was.
