Customer Rating: Summary: Small Business Server Easy Comment: Thanks to Harry's straight forward and plain English explanations, I was able to build configure test and deploy SBS 2003 to my first client with no problems. Client is happy and so am I.
Thanks Harry
Customer Rating: Summary: An Excellent Resource - Author's Continual Self Promotion of Advanced Book Tiresome Comment: This is an excellent resource for SBS network administrators and consultants. The practices laid out in this book produce solid SBS networks time and time again.
The authors continual self promotion of the Advanced practices book is very tiresome, distracting, and would make me think twice before purchasing a future book of this category - hence the three star rating.
Customer Rating: Summary: Wordy, chatty, grating. Comment: The author clearly does not subscribe to Strunk and White's "omit needless words". Perhaps two thirds of the words in this book are needless, and many of them are tediously "humorous". The book reads like it was transcribed from an overly long seminar given by someone who likes the sound of his own voice but does not have much to say. This is not the concise, precise text that a small business person needs.
Customer Rating: Summary: A great first book for all SBSers Comment: If your new to SBS, then you must have this book. It's a great way to ease into the SBS environment and the scenarios described allow you to build your server fairly easily. It skims across a few areas that could be covered more in depth, but then again I guess that's why it's volume 1 of the series.
Good work Harry!
Customer Rating: Summary: Too cute Comment: The book did help me install sbs2003 but the funny cute stuff
I could do without. Me, like most small business folks need
it concise and less blah blah... we just don't have the time.
If I did have more time I would instead read a good novel.
