Spotlight customer reviews: Customer Rating: Summary: Really good primer for those entering project management Comment: As a System Administrator that is handling a lot of things that are a bit above simple projects and below large scale projects this is a great primer. This book fill in vocabulary gaps, give advice on conflict management, and provides a lot of templates that work well for technical processes. I would recommend this book to anybody I know that is doing technical project management. Not sure if it would be helpful for a PM veteran since I am not one. Customer Rating: Summary: Excellence from an experienced and knowledgeable systems pro Comment: I've read the first three chapters and have to say I'm impressed. I cannot say this about other PM books and websites I've read or seen. I find the authors finishing or answering thoughts and questions about what I'm reading just a few words later on. If you are experienced, you know what I'm writing about. You start thinking, "Yea but what about????", and she's covered it. I, also, have an over 20 year systems career and have run many different types of projects, to various levels of methodology and process. I'd love to meet Colleen and will go to her BLOGs when I'm done. For me, the 7th Habit is involved here, Sharpen the saw. Although I've been very successful in all of my projects it doesn't hurt to hear from someone as experienced and knowledgeable as these two and, I think, particularly, Colleen. There are many pages in this book have been marked and noted abviously. I'm so said that the seller was cheating me.
