From the supplier: Relectronic Service CEO Max Klepp called the Northeast storms of 1994 an 'insurance catastrophe,' the magnitude of which may never be known. He forecasted that property losses would exceed the $1 billion estimates and noted that insurance adjusters had said that 1994 broke records for storm damage. A full estimate of losses must take into account business interruptions and shutdowns, loss of shoppers, and employee absenteeism, he said.
