Comment: I used the service a few days after receiving it and was gratified by the ease of using and accessing the computer support for a Time Capsule printer server software problem. This contrasts greatly with using customer support for other operating systems and software.

Comment: I've had my macbook for almost three years now and I'm incredibly glad that I had the applecare protection. Whenever there's an issue I just take it over to the local apple reseller and they fix the problem or send it to Apple to fix at no cost and no hassle to me. I don't want to have to use it for my iMac, but I would rather have this protection than not.

Comment: I generally don't purchase product insurance but decided to get this since I wanted more "hand holding" since I was a recent convert from Windows to an iMac. Registering the product was easy - I even messed up and didn't remember that the serial number to use is on the reciept...kept looking for it on the box. Even when I entered a wrong number, the next day when I figured out my error, Applecare had gone ahead and registered my plan! How it that for having someone there that has some intelligence! So, if you want some piece of mind...buy the plan. If you're a risk taker and just trust that your iMac will be fine...skip it.

Summary: Good product slow registration
Comment: I'm pleased with the extended warranty. However, I did have trouble registering the warranty. It took about 10 days before the apple website would accept my information, although it ultimately did and I now have an extended warranty.
